Keep The Faith: A Memoir by Faith Evans with Aliya S. King

I must admit I haven't been much of a book reader since...never :) My and the hubbie had a little one-on-one time at the bookstore the other day and so I decided to to pick this one up (the publishers sent my advance copy to the wrong address) are some blogs have been dishing on this book so I figured "you know it might be a good time read something"...considering it is cold as hell up here in Washington and two I really have been waiting for Faith to tell side her life.

The inside cover reads:

It's been over ten years since Big was killed. I grieved for him for a very long time. And then, as time passed, the icy wall of grief surrounding my heart began to that and melt. I remarried, had more children, and continued to record and release music. But sometimes, I still find myself thinking of big."

She goes on to say:

I hope that in reading my words, you'll find inspiration. Perhaps you can duplicate my success or achieve where I have failed. Maybe you can skip over the mistakes I've made. Use my life as an example - of what to do and, in some cases, what not to do.

It's not easy putting your life our there for the masses. But I've decided I'll tell my own story. For Big. For my children. And for myself."
